Your main focus will be developing and delivering both teaching and research in addition to promoting the University’s professional standing and esteem by producing high quality academic work at national and international levels. There will also be opportunity for you to lead and manage on significant projects, contribute to income generation and have a strategic input to the University. 

We are particularly keen to hear from people whose specialist expertise and research experience relates to the development of ‘Industry 4.0’, Digital Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning application to engineering solutions and decarbonisation agendas.  This may include but would not be exclusive to:

-    Resource efficient industrial systems and processes
-    Digital-Twin and Virtual Reality systems applied to industrial problems
-    Big Data analytics applied to industrial decarbonisation of engineering processes
-    Closed loop engineering and manufacturing systems / Circular Economy
-    Significant experience of working at a senior level with the industrial sector in related area with excellent external networks
