Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Accounting and Finance
The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to join its Finance Subject Group as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. We aim to ensure that our students are offered an outstanding student experience, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they are able to contribute to this aspiration in a very practical, flexible and dynamic way.
The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the Faculty’s strategic priorities, which include the integration of excellent teaching, high quality research, and the provision of leadership on a range of diverse portfolios within an academic context. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of curriculum content within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the department. The role holder will also contribute to research activities, delivering appropriate research ‘outputs’, income generation and ‘impact’ as agreed by the department Research leadership team.
Candidates will have experience in conducting high quality research using a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods. We are interested in hearing from candidates from all areas of accounting and finance, particularly from those who have experience in teaching accounting and finance subjects at all levels of study and who execute active research agenda as well as possess evidence of previous research funding success.

Currently, due to COVID-19, academic staff will normally be on campus for approximately two days per week when face to face teaching is scheduled, and as required to undertake research using specialist facilities.
