Position overview

The ANU College of Science (CoS) comprises: the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, the Research School of Biology, the Research School of Chemistry, the Research School of Earth Science, the Fenner School of Environment and Society, the Mathematical Sciences Institute, the Research School of Physics and Engineering, the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science and the Centre for Entrepreneurial Agri-technology (CEAT). Staff and students within the ANU College of Science conduct research and deliver a research-led education program that encompasses the entire breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and by world-class facilities. The College has a strong tradition of research excellence that has fostered distinguished Nobel Laureates and Kyoto Prize winners and that trains scientific leaders in disciplines in which the ANU is consistently ranked in the top twenty in the world.

The Research School of Biology (RSB) carries out research and teaching in a wide range of biological and biomedical sciences.  One example of the ground-breaking research being undertaken within RSB is available on our YouTube Channel.

The Division Technical Teams within RSB are responsible for the provision of high level technical support to the Academic Groups within their Divisions. We are looking for people who have advanced skills in molecular biology, who have experience in maintaining and operating scientific instruments, and knowledge of sample and data storage in a biological environment. In addition to the above tasks, we are also looking for people with specific skills in one or more of the following areas: cell culture and/or protein expression and purification and tissue culture, animal care and husbandry.
