The Department of Visual Studies (VS) at Lingnan University offers a multi-disciplinary course of study, focusing on art history and film art. VS admits about 30 undergraduate, MPhil and PhD students each academic year. The Department has recently launched an MA Programme in Creative and Media Industries (MACMI). MACMI is now seeking one to two part-time lecturer(s) to teach media industries research methods and comparative creative/cultural industry policies in East Asia. Applicants should have a PhD in media or film studies, with knowledge of the local media industries. Remuneration is highly competitive. General Requirements

Applicants for the position should have: (i) a PhD degree in media or film studies or a relevant discipline; (ii) relevant teaching experience; and (iii) good command of English language (instruction will be in English).

Candidates should specify their potential teaching contributions to the MACMI programme and provide information about their professional experience, including evidence of high-quality teaching in relevant subjects, research output and advanced student project supervision.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made on a fixed-term basis.
