Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA)

The Institute is established as a knowledge hub that engages in bioresource conservation and sustainable agriculture, promotes and offers professional and public education in sustainable consumption, bioresource and organic agriculture. The Institute is seeking young and talented researchers to apply for the following positions:

Research Assistant Professor (two vacancies) (PR0352/20-21)

The appointees are expected to conduct independent scholarly research, supervise research assistants and post-graduates, submit grant proposals and engage in minimal teaching duties. They are also expected to assist in the promotion of the Institute.

Applicants should have a PhD degree in precision farming, biofertilizer and composting, anaerobic digestion, biochar production, soil rhizospheric bacteria or related disciplines, with three years of post-doctoral research experience in one of the above research areas. They should also have an excellent track record of publication in high impact journals. Enquiries about the positions should be sent to Prof. Jonathan Wong at jwcwong@hkbu.edu.hk.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
