The Australian National University has a reputation for outstanding multidisciplinary research and working closely with national Indigenous health policy, community and practice organisations.

The Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Grand Challenge, a strategic investment program by the University, brings together researchers and community partners to collaboratively address areas such as racism in the health system, evaluating policies and programmes, precision medicine for serious diseases and the relationships between culture and wellbeing as they relate to improving the health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Working across both HASS and STEM disciplines, the Grand Challenge aims to increase the overall effort, emphasis and capacity in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research at the ANU.

The University seeks a Director, Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Grand Challenge to lead and contribute to the grand challenge activities.  Particularly high-level, cross disciplinary research outcomes and consultancy facilitation and support. The Director will undertake internationally acclaimed research, promote and foster collaborative relationships internal and external to the University, teach across relevant education programmes and supervise research students.
