The Department of Applied Psychology (http://www.LN.edu.hk/psy/) builds on the strengths of faculty in the field of positive occupational health psychology, human-computer interactions, and cross-cultural psychology. In line with the liberal arts tradition of the University, the Department is also strongly committed to providing high quality teaching and a supportive learning environment to students.
The Master of Work and Organizational Psychology (MWOP) programme of the Department of Applied Psychology is looking for a specialist to teach postgraduate taught master courses. The appointee is expected to teach a broad range of subjects for the programme, including Introduction to Work and Organizational Psychology, Research Methods in Work Psychology, Social Problem Solving and Decision Making in the Modern World, Guided Research, etc. The appointee will have to provide support to the operation of the Programme, including programme promotion and student recruitment.
Applicants should have a PhD Degree in relevant fields in Psychology. Relevant experience in teaching courses related to work and organizational psychology is highly preferred.
Applicants are required to provide information on their research records and evidence of quality teaching. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. The appointee is expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and to engage actively in research and contribute to the scholarly activities of the department.
The conditions of appointment will be competitive. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to two years.
