UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1
Applications are invited for a 6 months post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Applications are invited for a full time Postdoctoral Research Fellow position with the Neuromuscular Systems Research Lab at University College Dublin. The role represents an exciting opportunity to work on a proof of concept project titled ' Implementation And Preclinical Testing Of A Closed-Loop Control System For Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)', which is funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The project aims to develop and test a closed-loop DBS system in vivo that can adjust DBS parameters to control PD systems while maximising battery life. This project would suit candidates with expertise in developing and implementing DBS algorithms on devices in real time.
This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Salary: €38,631 per annum.
