Job Title: Psychology Technician

Full-time: 35 hours
The Division of Psychology and Social Work at the University of the West of Scotland is seeking to appoint a full-time Psychology Technician to support the work of the Psychology Group.
You will have the skills and knowledge to work closely and collaboratively with academic staff and students to support the delivery of our teaching and research objectives. You will be responsible for the operation of the Psychology laboratories. This will include maintenance and demonstration of specialised equipment and the instruction of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the use of any equipment and laboratory space.
Applicants should be qualified to degree level with a British Psychology Society accredited degree. You will be IT literate in Microsoft Office Windows/Mac OS, have experience of internet mediated communication (e.g. TEAMs, Zoom) and have experience of working with VLEs. You will be able to support a range of psychology specific software and equipment including EEG and eyetrackers and will have experience of working with at least one of the following - Java, HTML, PsychoPy or Matlab.
You will be a highly motivated individual with good communication and problem-solving skills with a clear focus on supporting the psychology group to ensure the best possible student experience.
