Job Description
We currently have positions available for Research Engineers who are interested in simulation/theoretical study on nanoelectronics and nanoelectronic devices, especially focusing on topological insulator materials and 2D materials, and its applications in spintronic devices.
The responsibility includes to
- Take responsibility for the concept, design, analysis, modeling and initial simulation verification of Non-Equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) quantum transport simulation
- Assist with the development of Non-Equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) quantum transport simulator for carrier transport and device modeling.
- Be involved in technology development to increase the technology readiness level toward manufacturability.
- Ensure system design complies with existing electronic and electrical standards for certification.
- Provide support to a team of engineers in solving multi-disciplinary problems, including preparation of documentation and presentation of results of analyses/testing to peers and customers.
- Conduct high-quality research, propose his/her own research ideas, and to be an active member of the department.
Qualifications
- Possess a Master Degree in Physics or Electrical and Electronic Engineering with condensed material physics fundamental.
- Familiar with ab-initio simulation tools such as VASP/Quantum Espresso/ ATK.
- Knowledge on condensed material physics, topological insulator materials and novel 2D materials.
- Knowledge on nanoelectronics and spintronic devices.
- Familiar with program skill, Fortran, matlab, C or C++, and knowledge/experience of maintaining computation cluster.
- At least 2-years of practical experiences in the device physics and designs
- Open to fixed-term contract
