SCHOOL OF NURSING

Established in 1977, the School of Nursing supports the mission of the University by nurturing graduates who are critical thinkers, effective communicators, innovative problem solvers, lifelong learners and ethical leaders. It ranks 43^rd for the best School of Nursing internationally (QS Ranking 2021). The education, research, consultancy and integrative health services are driven by a commitment to improve health of the community. The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated the School as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Community Health Services since December 2007. Assistant Professor in Nursing / Mental Health / Statistics (Ref. 21043014)

The appointee will be required to (a) teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervise student projects and theses; (b) conduct research that leads to publications in refereed journals and award of research grants; (c) engage in applied research, creative development and consultancy projects in relation to health care related activities; (d) contribute to the development of the School’s relevant research theme and participate in its activities; (e) contribute to departmental activities and management; and (f) render professional service to the community and support activities that promote or foster links with the profession in the industry and/or in the community.

Applicants should have (a) a PhD degree in Nursing or Statistics or a relevant discipline with substantial years of relevant experience; (b) professional qualifications registrable with The Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (c) a substantial record and reputation as an accomplished teacher with significant contribution to curriculum development/review or teaching and learning processes; (d) an established track record in research and scholarship, including refereed publications, external grants and postgraduate supervision; and (e) demonstrated academic management and leadership capabilities.
