Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Global China Social Research Hub of the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 503813), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences with demonstrated expertise in conducting qualitative research fieldwork. They should have an excellent organisational and analytical ability to execute reflexive analyses in social sciences; an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); and proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating and implementing community-based research activities on a multi-disciplinary urban commons project in relation to employment, gender, poverty and community development in Hong Kong. He/She will have ample opportunities to work with research professionals, digital platform professionals, as well as stakeholders in the community. He/She will also be expected to perform any other relevant tasks as assigned.
