These newly created positions are responsible for identifying new opportunities both locally and internationally for the College to increase and diversify income streams. This position supports College staff and the executive team to build on existing relationships, and create new partnerships, with industry, government and non-government organisations (NGO’s).

The position works in a collaborative environment between the College Research and Innovation portfolio and the Education and Innovation portfolio, requiring adaptability and flexibility.

How will you inspire us?  

An expert in Business Development, with exceptional interpersonal skills you access a large-scale network of opportunities across research and education in the higher education sector. You are enthusiastic and enjoy the variety of coordinating and attending networking events at different locations and times.

With a coordinated approach, you actively engage both internal and external partners and have proven experience in preparing successful grant or funding submissions.

College of Engineering, Science and Environment

The University’s College of Engineering, Science and Environment (CESE) brings together expertise in engineering, environment, and the sciences to deliver life ready graduates and transformative solutions to our region and the world.  CESE strives for excellence, innovation and equity in teaching, education, research and partnerships.  We are global leaders uncovering new knowledge, creating revolutionary technology, and delivering innovative teaching.

The School of Engineering is one of the most research-intensive Schools within the University.  The School consists of four discipline groupings:

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering and Surveying
  • Chemical and Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Aerospace Systems, Electrical, Computer Systems
  • Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering

The School is home to many leading-edge research centres and has strong links with industry through sponsored undergraduate students and research collaborations. It is highly research active, contributing substantially to the overall research inputs and outputs of the CESE.  This is reflected in the 2018 Excellence in Research in Australia outcomes where Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Resource Engineering codes all received an ERA5.
