Research Assistant/Associate, Water Policy and Governance

Job Purpose

The Research Assistant/Associate will be a member of the IWP research team, assisting to deliver IWP’s research programme on water policy and governance. The RA will work on policy-relevant research projects relating to IWP’s core research theme of urban water security, in addition to providing support in project and grant management, stakeholder liaison and outreach for IWP, and related duties.

Job Description

Candidates should have an interest in the policy aspects of water and environmental sustainability. All candidates should have a strong willingness to learn about new topics and tools.

Responsibilities of the full-time Research Assistant/Associate include: 

  • Independently collecting and managing primary and/or secondary data for research projects 
  • Performing quantitative data analysis and preparing reports on these analyses
  • Writing case studies, literature reviews, research briefings and summaries   
  • Supporting in the Institute’s event/programme management

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in relevant Economics, Data Analytics, and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) programming  
  • Proficiency in conducting text to data mining and analysis, possessing skill competencies in the use of data analytical software, including: Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Impala, Dashboards
  • Experienced in managing and delivering for research projects
  • Excellent verbal and written English 
  • Able to commit to at least 1 year of service
  • Singapore-based applicant
