We are looking for a candidate who will have expertise in the field of Commercial Law. They will be required to deliver an innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials across our law programmes, performing both module and course leadership roles, and contributing to our research culture and profile. 

This is the forty-fifth anniversary of legal education at UEL. Our law provision is situated within the Department of Law and Criminology and encompasses a range of LLB and LLM programmes. The Department also has a strong research base with staff active in both legal and criminological research.

Law at UEL is a great place to work. We have a diverse faculty with expertise and international reputations for work on a wide range of areas including international law, human rights, international trade regulation, financial technology regulation and legal theory. The Department hosts the Centre for Human Rights in Conflict, the Centre for Islamic Finance, Law and Communities and the Noon Centre for equality and Diversity in Business.

Our colleagues have spoken at the UN and British Parliament, advised numerous national and local governments and NGOs, and appear regularly in the media. We are committed to widening participation, equality, diversity and inclusion, student development, success and employability

The successful will have a PhD or relevant experience as well as relevant teaching experience. They will be required to develop, deliver and assess a programme of high-quality learning experiences across a range of modules and course at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
