Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) invites applications for part-time faculty positions in the General Education Office for September 2021. Candidates should be able to teach foundation courses in one or more of the following areas: World Civilization, World Religions, Asian Civilization, Sociology, Philosophy, American History, European Intellectual History, Classical Studies, Buddhist Studies, American Literature, Oriental Studies, Music History and Middle Eastern Studies. Preference will be given to candidates with specializations in World History, World Religions, East Asian History and Ancient Studies.
Candidates should have a PhD degree or a Master’s degree with teaching experience in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of one semester or one year. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
