Research Engineer, Spintronics

Job Description

The Semiconductor and Emerging Electronic Device Exploratory Research (SEEDER) group is looking for a highly self-motivated candidate to participate our spintronic research project. The candidate will carry out research and development on design of new computing approaches that leverage the unique electrical characteristics of spintronic device technologies. The candidate is expected to learn the required knowledge on the job, and the software tools (e.g., micro-magnetics, Python, deep learning frameworks, etc.) that are required to execute on the project. The candidate will also contribute by developing software tools to complement the existing software used by the global research community. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Materials Science. 
  • Up to two years of relevant research or industry experience. 
  • Open to fixed term contract.
