Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor (several posts) in the Department of Pathology and the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (SKLLR) (Ref.: 503134), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal.

The State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (SKLLR), founded in 2010, is the only SKL in Hong Kong focusing on liver research.  It is a research-based laboratory engaging top-notched research professionals and talents, including the top 1% most cited scientists in the world, and was ranked “Outstanding” in the latest 2017/2018 re-assessment by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a relevant field.  They should have distinguished academic credentials and strong research track record in one of the following areas of liver research: a) bioinformatics; b) cancer biology; and c) cancer immunology.  Preference will be given to those with proven experience in fostering interdisciplinary research, as well as supervising and mentoring research students and early-career researchers. The appointees will report to the Director of SKLLR and conduct high-impact research. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
