Post Doctor Position within Co-simulation
About the position
Co-simulation is a technique in which simulators are executed simultaneously while exchanging data during run-time, where each simulator may implement different numerical techniques tailored to a specific physical or mathematical problem. This allows individual models in a co-simulation to be implemented using the most appropriate tool, and then simulated together to form complex heterogeneous system, like vessels, that require models from different domains. The black-box property of co-simulation also enables model-reuse, collaboration opportunities between companies, distributed execution and parallelization of simulations.
There is an increasing research interest in using standardized co-simulation functionality in order to realize complex cyber-physical systems and digital twins. In order to accomplish this, the postdoc position will concentrate to build sufficient knowledge about co-simulation technology, research tools and algorithms, as well as developing and maintaining enabling technologies.
You will report to head of department.
Duties of the position
- improve co-simulation framework
- support Digital twins project and make case study
- benchmark the performance
- research work in collaboration with the other members of the research group
- dissemination of results
