The Department 

The Department of Psychology offers an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Human Services. A Masters program in Clinical and Counseling Psychology is under development. The College of Natural and Health Sciences (in which it is housed) also offer majors in Environmental Science and Public Health and Nutrition.  

The Opportunity

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full time position in Psychology prepared to teach a wide variety of undergraduate-level courses (such as introductory Psychology, research methods, mentoring student research and a course or two within one of the areas of expertise below):

• Positive Psychology             
• Personality or Social Psychology                          
• Cognitive Psychology           
• Bio psychology or Health Psych.
• Organizational Psychology 
• Developmental Psychology
• Clinical/Counseling Psychology/Mental Health/Abnormal  

The Requirements 

Candidates must be prepared to offer high-quality teaching in Psychology at the Bachelor and (future) graduate levels in a student-centered environment. Preference will be given to those committed to service and program development. 

Candidates for the Assistant/Associate level position must have a PhD in Psychology (in one of the sub-specialties listed above) from a recognized university.  Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience excellence must be demonstrated. Evidence of research productivity must be demonstrated. Three letters of recommendations required, as well as attested degrees.
