Job Description
TThe researcher is required to model the damage processes for quasi-brittle materials in a coupled system (e.g. mechanical-thermal, mechanical-hygro). To regularise the damage process, nonlocal enhancement is to be adopted.
Qualifications
The researcher should have a PhD degree with relevant research experience in the following areas:
- Damage / fracture mechanics
- XFEM / nonlocal enhancement
- Coupled system numerical framework
Experience with writing subroutines in e.g. MATLAB, ABAQUS
