Full-time: 35 Hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Criminal Justice to join the academic team within the School of Education and Social Sciences at the UWS Paisley Campus.        

You will be joining a small and diverse team with a broad range of academic and professional practice.  As a lecturer you will be expected to make a broad contribution to the academic work of the Criminal Justice and Criminology team and a strong contribution to the research activity and other forms of scholarly activity as part of our department. 

Teaching duties will include both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, assessment and on-going curriculum development and management. You will also be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students and to take on an administrative post within the team. It is essential you have a PhD in a relevant discipline and desirable that you have teaching experience across the subject area of criminology. Our ideal candidate will have experience of using technology to enhance online learning and teaching, and have a broad and critical understanding of research methods and theoretical issues relevant to the teaching of Criminology.  

To strengthen our curriculum, we are looking for candidates with any two of the following specialisms: Cyber-crime, Criminal Justice Theory and Practice, Research Methods, International criminology and zemiology, Human rights and social justice, Migration /race and ethnicity, Green crime and globalisation, Policing Theory and Practice, Youth Justice, Comparative Criminology.
