MIT POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN PSYCHOLOGY, MIT Medical-MIT Student Mental Health & Counseling Services (SMH&C), to assume a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical/counseling psychology for the 2021-2022 academic year.  The fellowship aims to facilitate continued growth and competence in the areas of individual and group psychotherapy, intake evaluation and treatment planning, risk assessment and crisis intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration and consultation, campus outreach and education, and professional ethics in a college mental health setting.  Fellows receive three hours per week of supervision.  There may be opportunities for fellows to supervise pre-doctoral psychology trainees as well.  All training activities underscore a commitment to diversity, social justice, and the importance of building multicultural competence, including ongoing reflection regarding one’s own social/cultural identities and how they may impact one’s clinical work.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  completion of a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology at an APA-accredited doctoral program, and completion of an APA-accredited internship in clinical or counseling psychology. 

PREFERRED:  experience in college or community mental health settings and in acute psychiatric settings (e.g., inpatient, partial hospital).

Fellows will earn a stipend of $50K, along with full benefits package and support for conference expenses.  By the end of the training year, fellows can expect to accrue approximately 2000 supervised hours for licensure.
