Job Description Summary

The Research Specialist is expected to participate in and perform experimental design, data analysis including processing of mice tissue samples for flow cytometry analysis. The researcher is also expected to be able to work on DNA/RNA isolation, cDNA/cRNA preparation, q-PCR, and immuno-fluorescent and histochemical microscopy. The position includes oversight of the mouse colony and maintenance of the animal census. The position will also include limited administrative responsibilities for the laboratory, including organization of lab meetings, maintenance of equipment, and reagent purchasing.

Job Description

The Research Specialist is expected to participate in and perform experimental design, data analysis including processing of mice tissue samples for flow cytometry analysis. The researcher is also expected to be able to work on DNA/RNA isolation, cDNA/cRNA preparation, q-PCR, and immuno-fluorescent and histochemical microscopy. The position includes oversight of the mouse colony and maintenance of the animal census. The position will also include limited administrative responsibilities for the laboratory, including organization of lab meetings, maintenance of equipment, and reagent purchasing.

Plans and conducts complex experiments to meet research project objectives. Performs laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Oversee overall management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with content experts to select assessment instruments. adapt existing instruments and develop new instruments and with Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols. Responsible for team performance management and reviews. Will participate in management of the mouse colony and weekly census.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience in research, clinical study, project and people management or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
