Job Description Summary

This nurse will function as part of an elite team of nurses trained to provide the highest level of nursing care to emergency and critically ill animals.

Job Description

This nurse will provide patient care to emergency and critical care patients. This involves triage, CPR, pain management, imaging, anesthesia, administering medications, IV and urinary catheter placement. Teaching the future veterinarians and veterinary nurses.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services A- 0-1 year of veterinary experience and board eligible within 3 months
  • Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services B- 1-2 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
  • Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services C- 3-4 years of veterinary experience and a CVT

This is a weekend overnight, 36 hour shift 8:00 p.m to 8:00 a.m Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

This position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, kneel on the ground working with patients, lifting over 25 pounds consistently with support.

This is a high noise environment with barking dogs and many people.
