Position Description    
The Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking candidates for the position of assistant or associate professor to teach and conduct research in public health policy and/or health politics. This is a tenure-ladder position, with the academic rank to be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and productivity.

We are seeking candidates with a potentially broad range of academic interests across health policy, although we are particularly interested in recruiting someone with extensive interests in public health and/or health politics. Candidates will be expected to undertake empirical research in these areas using rigorous statistical and econometric methods. Candidates should have demonstrated the experience and skills necessary to play a central role in research and teaching. Candidates should also be able to work collaboratively with other faculty, as well as mentor a diverse population of masters and doctoral students. Basic Qualifications    
Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in public health, health policy or a closely related social science discipline and have strong training in research.

Additional Qualifications    
Other highly desired qualifications include advanced methodological training, skill in translating and disseminating research evidence to a broad audience, evidence of ability to manage national projects, to collaborate with professionals in other disciplines, and to teach health policy, health politics, or related courses at the graduate level.
