The Administrative Officer works with colleagues across the Greenwich Learning and Teaching (GLT) team. The Administrative Officer is responsible for coordinating the administrative activities of GLT to ensure the smooth operation of its various functions. They establish and manage protocols for administrative functions such as handling enquiries, programme and event administration, website administration, and providing personal assistant support to the University Director of Learning and Teaching (UDLT).

This will include:

  • Administration of GLT’s portfolio of activity, which includes taught degree programmes; professional development and recognition schemes; institutional quality assurance systems and processes; institutional enhancement initiatives; and dissemination activities such as events and publications. With other members of the administrative team, ensuring effective management of mailboxes and webpages; handling enquiries and bookings; booking rooms and catering; liaising with contributors and participants; preparing materials; collating and analysing feedback.
  • Personal assistant support to the University Director of Learning and Teaching, and/or Head of Quality Enhancement including diary management and correspondence, and any other duties as reasonably required such as desk research or other project activities. 
  • Servicing meetings, project groups and networks, collating paperwork, minuting meetings and disseminating information to staff as appropriate.
  • Act as programme administrator for the taught programmes offered by GLT, managing student records and contributing to the compilation of programme documentation such as handbooks and Moodle sites under the direction of the programme team.
  • Working with the Student and Staff Engagement Coordinator and administrative team, to produce and publish materials to promote GLT’s and the university’s profile for excellence in learning and teaching, for example by contributing to the design and development of GLT’s website.
