Job Details

Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and experiment on suitable processing parameters for printing of metal parts using powder bed machine or DED machine
  • Investigate and research on the use of Machine Learning (ML) algorithm for prediction of experiment output
  • Investigate and examine the needed mechanical properties of printed parts
  • Propose and research on the most cost effective and efficient methods to fabricate parts
  • Publish research results in reputable international journals

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in use of 3D CAD software, metal AM machines and related testing equipment
  • Experience in writing code for Machine Learning
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication and writing in English
  • Critical thinking and good problem-solver

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
