ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORDS (EHR) TRAINING SPECIALISTMIT Medical, to be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of EHR training courses in support of all clinical positions.  Methods of instruction will include small group classroom training, one-on-one coaching, and on-line training platforms. Will design and deliver EHR training to all new hires and design a curriculum to support on-going learning for all clinical providers, nurses, and medical assistants. This role collaborates with key stakeholders at Cerner Millennium and within MIT Medical to identify training elements required to meet best practice standards for care quality and patient safety as well as compliance with documentation standards.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED bachelor’s degree; at least four years’ related experience; knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles; evidence of the use of adult learning theories and concepts; experience with application of adult learning theory to the development of training programs; curriculum development expertise; thorough knowledge of and experience with learning management systems; ability to acquire, synthesize, and communicate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences; effective presentation and communication skills; and ability to adjust to frequent changes in duties and work volume. PREFERRED experience with Cerner Millennium, but experience with other electronic health records would be considered; ability to effectively lead projects of varying complexity; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Captivate; experience working in a clinical setting; and base project management skills.  Job #19095-8
