Senior Research Engineer, Software Development

A Senior Research Engineer position is available in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

Job Description

• Responsible for integrating hybrid V2X OBU device using latest V2X technology with autonomous robot
• Prepare the resources for live demos during open-house events and other ad-hoc events

Job Requirements

Educational background required:

• B.Sc. degree and above in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

• Interested in V2X technologies, autonomous vehicle and software development
• Familiar with Linux platform, its configuration and command line operations
• Familiar with GNU toolchain, best with application development experience on embedded Linux
• Familiar with development using C/C++ programming language, best with class libraries such as Boost
• Experience with software for automation & robotics (ROS, Linux, DDS)
• Experience in software configuration management tools, e.g. Git or Subversion
• Experience in hands-on internet technology and mobile app development will be added advantages
• Experience in data analysis will be an added advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
• Candidate with less experience may also be considered as Research Engineer
