Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Research Officer/Assistant Research Officer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502477), to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in public health, social sciences, or related disciplines, with at least one year’s experience in community-based research, public health research or population sciences research. They should have experience in community health promotion, and/or knowledge of the application of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in research. They should also have the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team; the ability to work closely with external parties including academics, social service groups and politicians; and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
The appointee will participate in the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project, which aims to promote family well-being by leveraging ICT for innovative family services. He/She will coordinate research design; liaise with community parties and institutions; plan, develop and conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise junior research staff; and perform other duties as assigned.
