Applications are invited for the post of Reports and Integrations Developer in the IT Department – Enterprise Applications.

This post will form a key part of the enterprise applications team, helping to design, implement and support scalable and efficient reports and integrations between key business critical systems enabling colleagues and students to operate effectively within the University.

The post holder will bring their experience of creating solutions with SSIS and managing Business Objects systems along with ETL and data warehousing knowledge to document technical requirements, create technical designs and implement integration and reporting solutions for projects.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and suggesting improvements to the existing reporting and integration landscape at the University, identifying new technologies and approaches in order to maximise efficiency of the core systems alongside troubleshooting and providing support for existing report and integration systems.

In order to be considered for this role a Computing based degree or equivalent experience is essential, along with detailed knowledge of SSIS (2016 onwards), Business Objects XI, SQL Server development and other ETL based technologies.

Prior experience of building business critical data integrations is essential, any knowledge of ETL and data warehouse patterns and practices would also be very beneficial as would previous experience integrating with APIs.  Knowledge of cloud based integration technologies such as Logic Apps, API Management or Azure Data Factory would be very advantageous.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent attention to detail as they will be creating integrations between key enterprise applications and managing the College reporting environment, they will have exceptional written and verbal communications skills and will be able to demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving.
