The Media Portfolio at the School of Design, University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Creative Media.

Candidates should have expertise in two or more of the following areas: creativity studies; communications research; digital media; cultural studies; creative industries; fashion studies; film studies; and will be willing to apply interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research. They should also be familiar with the issues of ‘practice as research’ and have some experience of working with art, film, curatorial or other media institutions.

The appointee will be expected to provide leadership in the area of cultural and creative studies across the department, and on the programmes including BA Media and Communications, BA Film Studies and MA Media and Creative Cultures. A PhD in a related field (or near completion), experience of higher education and an ability to contribute to curriculum development, to build on existing synergies between creative practice and critical theory and contribute to the school’s research profile, are required.
