About the Job

Utilise your contemporary knowledge and practice of Speech Pathology with clinical expertise in hearing, speech, and/or language sciences to contribute to the teaching, research and scholarship and professional activities of the Speech Pathology program within UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance.

With a longstanding history in the delivery of Allied Health programs in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Radiation Sciences, Pharmacy, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Laboratory Medicine, Social Work, Psychology and Podiatry, and a strong critical mass of genuinely world-class Allied Health educators, practitioners and researchers. Building on an excellent reputation for the provision of allied health education, with great excitement UniSA recently added Speech Pathology to the multidisciplinary allied health team.

Health at the University of South Australia places a strong emphasis on practice-based learning, with significant investment in teaching and research facilities, including Multidisciplinary Clinics across Adelaide and in Whyalla, two Mobile Allied Health Clinics, advanced simulation laboratories, and the Cancer Research Institute in South Australia’s health and biomedical precinct. The focus of this position will primarily be on the coordination and teaching in the speech pathology discipline, however, due to an increased focus on multidisciplinary teaching, the position may be required to work with multidisciplinary student groups.

Skills and Experience

You will be eligible for Practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia and have demonstrated expertise, knowledge, and a commitment to contemporary practice within Speech Pathology, with specific clinical expertise in hearing.

You will have a passion for teaching and be committed to continual development and improving performance to positively impact our student’s learning experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as experience with a range of technologies, is important and previous experience and a passion for high quality, flexible teaching, and learning outcomes will be highly regarded.
