Starting Salary: £33,797 per annum   
Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum
Term: We are looking to recruit 2 Learning Designer's on the above details, these will be    

  • 1x Permanent
  • 1x Two Years Fixed-term

The Technology Enhanced Learning team delivers and enhances the use of technology to support learning, teaching, research and management at St Mary’s University. Technology is both a strategic enabler and a professional service available to all members of the St Mary’s community.  

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Learning Designer who will have:

  • Extensive experience in applying learning design principles to underpin effective course design
  • Proven track record in delivering high quality blended learning and online learning programmes
  • Excellent design skills and ability to design engaging digital learning content
  • Excellent communication skills to engage staff
  • A friendly, confident and professional attitude
  • A can-do attitude and a self-motivator
  • A strong team player  

Successful applicants will work in partnership with academic colleagues to plan, design and develop engaging blended and online learning programmes using existing and innovative educational technologies and platforms. They will be responsible for the promotion of effective learning design of blended learning and problem-based learning modules and innovative assessment methods.   

As we are looking to recruit two Learning Designers (One permanent and one on a 2 year fixed-term contract), please express your preference for either contract type when applying for the roles.
