Job Details

A Project Officer position is currently available in the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to work closely with other researchers in the program, and assist to coordinate the program
  • Design and synthesize novel prodrug systems for bioimaging and therapy in the cancer treatment
  • Have a strong research background in chemistry synthesis for the materials preparation, and can perform analytical characterizations using standard techniques
  • Able to carry out biological experiments after suitable training
  • Analyse the experimental data and write scientific papers
  • Present the research results precisely and professionally

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of chemistry or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform synthesis and characterization experiments
  • Minimum two-year research experiences in related field

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
