This exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a Business Development Officer to help manage the successful delivery of the Greater Lincolnshire Productivity Hubs, which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund programme.

The Greater Lincolnshire Productivity Hubs will extend the reach of the current business support infrastructure in Greater Lincolnshire and add value to the University’s Productivity Programme through the creation of a series of hubs.  These hubs will be in areas where there are specific clusters of businesses with innovation and growth potential but no University of Lincoln or Greater Lincolnshire Growth Hub physical presence.  The hubs will be located in Scunthorpe, Boston and Grimsby.

The programme is designed to raise awareness, inspire, motivate and support process and productivity improvements within eligible SMEs. This will help businesses to start up; invest in growth opportunities; new products and processes and support businesses that have novel ideas and concepts.

The post holder will work as part of the Business Incubation & Growth team and closely with the wider Research and Enterprise Department to manage the overall successful delivery of the programme of support.

The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering specialist advice and guidance to businesses to help support their growth and productivity ambitions.  The Business Development Officer will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of business needs and tailor business support activity to enable them to realise their potential, working with local stakeholders and other business support providers.  Being part of a dedicated team to deliver the Productivity Hubs programme will require strong project management skills, an understanding of contractual responsibilities & ability to deliver against spend and output profiles.

This position is to be funded until June 2023 and is subject to funding approval.
