Job Purpose

To own and lead BPP’s Coaching Professional Apprenticeship Programme(s), including the activities outlined below. To assure that these programmes are delivered as per the relevant Apprenticeship standard and to work with key BPP clients to ensure delivery is efficient, effective and of a High Quality.  An important aspect is to ensure consistency across all programmes in line with Apprenticeship School practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Manage a team of Coaches in line with Apprenticeship School management procedures and guidelines
  • Attract and recruit process Coaches with the knowledge and experience deliver high-quality coaching
  • Induct Coaches to understand BPP best practice and to deliver quality coaching
  • Set Coaches quarterly most important tasks (MIT's) and complete appraisals on an annual basis

Delivery

  • Working with Head of Learning to create high quality and industry-relevant learning resources (including slides for live delivery)
  • Create learning sessions to induct students onto programme and to launch/overview assessment activities
  • Liaise with Coaching Tutors to ensure student journey is seamless and of a high quality
  • Design effective and engaging programme communications/documentation

Internal Quality Assurance

  • Undertake regular quality assurance of Coaches including evaluation of marking, observation of progress reviews and checks on data/records.
  • Ensuring BPP central tracker is up to date on a weekly basis

End Point Assessment (EPA)

  • Understand the end point assessment strategy for programmes
  • Form relationships with End Point Assessment Organisation to work collaboratively on an excellent student journey/experience
  • Set an effective delivery and assessment strategy to adequately prepare students for

Candidate criteria

Essential

  • Professional Coaching Qualification and/or Accreditation from The European Mentoring and Coaching Council or The Association for Coaching or The International Coach Federation
  • Previous experience of designing and delivering Coaching Training
  • Previous experience of designing and delivering training presentations
  • Previous experience in coaching Senior Managers

Desirable

  • Previous experience of running Apprenticeship Programmes
  • Previous IQA experience and/or appropriate IQA qualifications
  • Line Management experience
  • Previous experience of working with clients to deliver collaborative and high quality programmes

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
