MEMBER SERVICE SPECIALIST, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to be responsible for delivering outstanding member service, addressing all member issues and inquiries in a timely manner, and being informative and responsive to members’ requests while offering products and services that enhance their financial relationship to the Credit Union. Responsibilities include answering all incoming calls/inquires in accordance with departmental standards; checking and responding to all incoming voicemail and email messages within established guidelines; opening new memberships, closing or adding products and services to existing accounts, and updating member account information as necessary; processing account transfers, payments, and stop payments; providing balance information and statement copies; providing general account maintenance; daily balancing and reconciliation of payments and deposits; and assisting with annual dormant account program.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: at least three years of customer service experience, preferably in a credit union, bank, or the financial industry; a high school diploma or its equivalent; excellent internal service and member service skills; ability to form long-term business relationships; clear/concise verbal and written communication skills; and working knowledge of personal computers.
PREFERRED: experience in a sales environment and an associate’s degree or additional college coursework. Job #18958-5
