Job Details
Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a small team as a Robotics Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer to develop and implement a ROS 2 C++ intelligent human-robot interface toolbox to advance assistive robotics research
- Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to deployment
- System integration, testing, validation and hardware in the loop testing with hardware and software systems for ROS 2 robotics systems
- Software quality assurance
- Review system design and firmware/software for reliable system implementation
- Documentation
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in embedded system engineering – working with embedded boards and using standard embedded development tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc
- Experience in C, C++, Python, Git, real-time operating systems
- Knowledge on industrial programming standards and frameworks for testing and validation of embedded systems is advantageous
- Knowledge on development of ROS drivers and software development in Linux is advantageous
- Driven, passionate, self-starter, team player, innovative and quality focused
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Open to learning new development methods

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
