The University has very strong links with Health Care Trusts and health and social care providers in the region. In collaboration with Bucks Healthcare Trust the University has recently established the Bucks Health and Social Care Academy, to support workforce planning needs across the Buckinghamshire region. This is a fantastic opportunity to help in supporting the health agenda in the region and across the UK. 

The School of Nursing and Allied Health are pleased to invite applications for an Associate Professor Quality and Assurance to lead the effective implementation of quality and assurance and validation processes across the Health and Social Care related Schools.  

The post holder will have a key strategic responsibility to ensure the activities within these schools comply with Professional Statutory Regulatory Body requirements (PSRB). They will make a significant contribution to Education, and Professional Practice or Research within the University, support the facilitation of student enhancement activities, promote quality processes and share best practice across schools.

Applicants: We are seeking to appoint an excellent academic/healthcare professional who has experience of Health and Social Care curriculum development and understanding of the principle requirements of all associated Professional Statutory & Regulatory Bodies (e.g. NMC, HCPC, GPhC). You will also have a strong external profile and demonstrable experience of leadership of quality assurance associated activities related to the health/social care portfolio such as relevant HEE/NMC/HCPC performance monitoring and completion of required NMC Self-Assessment reports.

You will be committed to achieving excellent student outcomes, have demonstrable ability to lead a team and display excellent communication skills. 

A teaching qualification or willingness to undertake one will be essential.
