Falmouth University has a history of more than 100 years of creative thinking and design innovation. Established in 1902 as Falmouth School of Art, it has grown over a century to become a digital innovation hub. Today, its undergraduate and postgraduate courses represent the breadth of the creative industries, the fastest growing sector in the UK economy.

Our ambitious 2030 Strategy, 'Doing it for Real', is designed to deliver major growth in student numbers and income through portfolio diversification, innovation, research and commercial ventures. It will establish Falmouth as the market leader for creative industries and entrepreneurship education over the next decade, capitalising on our considerable assets in innovation-led research and business incubation.

The role of Director of the School of Entrepreneurship is an exceptional opportunity to play a crucial part in the realisation of a bold and transformational vision for the future of Falmouth University.

In the School of Entrepreneurship, students are immersed in the world of business and study in a way that seamlessly blends academic theory with practical experience. Students develop practical problem-solving and collaborative working skills by tackling real-life challenges in transdisciplinary teams, either through working with an external business as part of a placement, working within a University spin-out or setting up their own businesses.

To succeed in this post, you will be dynamic, both as a highly credible business thinker and educator, but who also shares this University's vision of building a 'real' business school.

You will understand current and emergent business markets, will be able to inspire and develop staff in the development of new types of curriculum to meet these markets, and will be able to produce high-value graduates with the skills required for the future economy.  This is key for successful development of the academic portfolio that underpins strong and sustainable growth of the school

With this being a senior-level position within the University a very competitive salary is on offer for the successful candidate alongside a best in class benefits package to include relocation assistance, if required. A professorial title may be conferred if the successful candidate meets the professorial criteria.
