Job Description Summary

The Research Project Manager will support the HIC Technical Director with daily operations such as staff scheduling, client billing, ordering supplies, preparing quotations for special projects, website and client outreach, and other administrative project management support; as well as longer term infrastructure projects such as LIMS improvement and maintenance, outreach initiatives, and ongoing updates of SOP, QC, and policy documents. This individual will also play a pivotal role in facilitating communications between the HIC and the Pathology business office, Pathology BioResource, and other related organizations within the University of Pennsylvania, serving as a liaison to support HIC budgeting, financial management, and report preparation

Position is contingent upon funding.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Master's degree or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field preferred

Prior experience in a core lab or clinical lab setting and familiarity with a laboratory information management system and/or good laboratory practice is preferred.
