Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Stem Cell Biology and Functional Genomic in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 501942), to commence as soon as possible for one or two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree preferably in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Engineering or a related discipline.  Experience in animal handling, surgical techniques and/or cell and molecular biology would be an advantage.  Applicants should also be organized, self-motivated, committed to the project schedule, and able to work independently and in a team. 

The appointee will work on a multidisciplinary project with an aim to understand skeletal biology and disease mechanisms using state-of-the-art technologies such as stem cell biology, genomic technologies and mouse models. He/She will also participate in research projects relating to stem cells in the spine.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor Kathryn Cheah at kathycheah@hku.hk.
