012593 UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 2, UCD School of Computer Science, 1 year 11 months -Up to 15th July 2022

The purpose of the role is to deliver part of the research of the Huawei funded project titled Assurance Cases for Trustworthy Systems and Processes. This project aims to build general models of assurance cases and methodologies for constructing assurance cases by considering the common assets of ICT systems and the common threats faced by ICT systems. Besides, it also works on analysis of argumentation methods to support the claims of assurance cases. And it will provide guidance and methods to construct assurance cases for the six properties of trustworthiness.

The aim of this project is to investigate the Assurance Cases for the trustworthiness of ICT systems and its processes of full life cycle, including general model and methodology, involved standards, argumentation methods, typical application cases, constraints.
The primary purpose of the role is to develop new or advanced research skills and competences, on the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications and scholarly dissemination, the development of funding proposals, and the supervision and mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.

Salary:€45,041 - €49,049 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
