About the team

UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models. Robust, flexible, integrated and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Manager for Solutions Architecture, you will provide solution design development support to the Project Services portfolio, taking ownership of the Architecture deliverables for proposals, including review of alignment to principles and strategy, solution architecture development and proposal, and solution architecture reviews at implementation to determine alignment. You will support the development of the Solution Architecture practice by updating and maintaining the Architecture Repository, working on an on-going effort to import legacy and auto-discovered datasets to the repository, document standards and patterns and review existing data to ensure it is an accurate representation of the information technology landscape which enables impact analysis and strategic planning. You will participate in the strategic planning process to bring your experience and insight to the University’s technology strategy and you will contribute to capability and motivation modelling to support the enterprise architecture practice.

About you

You will hold relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent competency) and preferably be certified in TOGAF. You will have experience in technology design practice including solution architecture design and development, project solution architecture, guidance and oversight of project design activities, with a track record of delivering significant projects in compliance with the Enterprise Architecture. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level consultation and negotiation skills. You will have a proven ability to communicate with significant influence, and establish positive stakeholder relationships at all levels. In addition, you will demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills, an ability to negotiate competing priorities whilst always remaining fully customer-focused. Some experience with a scripting environment and MSSQL is desirable.

Note: A Current National Police Clearance Certificate is required.
