The Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication department houses creative fashion business courses covering the full spectrum of the commercial side of fashion at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Sitting within the reputable School of Art and Design, the courses recruit high calibre students with strong academic and creative abilities and are designed to develop these talents to ensure our graduate’s unique combinations of skills are well suited for the fashion / lifestyle arena in which they will work.

We are looking to recruit an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer with the specialist knowledge to teach in the area of fashion management. You will be an experienced academic with relevant subject knowledge, with a focus on the delivery of student teaching and the entire student experience, along with management and administration of the curriculum. You will hold a relevant degree in a related subject area, a postgraduate qualification is desirable or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development. A qualification in the HE sector is also desirable.

You will possess an excellent understanding of the subject area including; fashion analytics and merchandising, global sourcing and sustainability, and retail management and international marketing. As well as knowledge of the current professional practice within the fashion and associated industries and an ability to communicate this knowledge to others.

As a Senior Lecturer you will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses to further strengthen the team. You will also be required to contribute to a range of modules across the subject area and should be able to offer the required attributes as detailed in the attached person specification.
