Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Healthy City Research in the Faculty of Architecture (Ref.501760), to commence as soon as possible but not later than December 1, 2020, for a period of three years.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in health geography, urban planning, social science, health science, or other related fields; with experience in longitudinal data analysis of health impacts of built environment interventions such as public transport, urban renewal, housing, or social program and policy. They should also have experience in co-authoring and managing competitive research grants and publishing their work in leading journals. Research experience in handling both GIS and big data analysis and conducting interview and surveys would be an advantage.
The appointee will report directly to Dr. Guibo Sun and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture. He/She will participate in multiple projects on the impacts of urban planning and design aiming at promoting public health in high-density cities. His/Her primary responsibilities include participating or leading healthy city research. He/She is expected to join competitive grant applications. The appointee is also expected to start new projects on the basis of new funding.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
