The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position of Instructor / Assistant Professor of the Department of Physiology with full-time or shorter weekly working hours

The Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, MU carries out educational, scientific and research activities. In the field of teaching, it provides teaching in medical and other non-medical medical disciplines (lectures, seminars, practical exercises).

Description of main activities:

  • teaching physiology (especially seminars and practical exercises)
  • preparation of study materials
  • involvement in scientific research activities, including publishing activities

Required qualification:

  • completed university education in the medical field (with the title MD) or a master’s degree study program in the medical or related field or equivalent education attained abroad
  • initiation of doctoral study in the relevant field is required for the position of an instructor; completed doctoral study in the related field is necessary for the rank of an assistant professor
  • capability of independent pedagogical and scientific work including publishing activities
  • active approach, initiative and willingness to further professional growth
  • ability to actively participate in international conferences and seminars
  • fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • fluent in Czech (spoken and written)
  • team work ability
  • civic and moral integrity, responsibility
