Assistant Lecturer (holding the title of Curriculum Development Officer) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 501821) (to commence on September 1, 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter until August 31, 2021)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in English Language, Education or a related discipline; a professional teaching qualification; 5 years’ experience working with schools on English curriculum development and promoting assessment literacy development; an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and good computer skills.  Experience in teacher training and conducting educational research will be an advantage.  

The appointee will work for a Quality Education Fund (QEF) project on enhancing assessment literacy of teachers in primary/secondary schools.  He/She will work closely with the project schools and teachers to provide them with the necessary support for developing/adapting materials and employing different assessment strategies which suit the needs of the schools, assist in running professional development workshops for teachers, visit schools and meet with teachers regularly, and coordinate sharing among project schools.  Information about the Faculty can be obtained at https://web.edu.hku.hk/.
